The Broken Man Premier

The premier of The Broken Man will take place in The Station House Hotel, Ballina, on Saturday, April 28, at 9pm. Produced by Katie hughes the 25 minute film was filmed in Mayo over 2 days earlier this year and showcases some of the finest actors in Ballina. Admission is free this Saturday night in the Station House Hotel.

Attymass Walking Group

The  Attymass Community are taking steps to get active through walking. They are working with Mayo Local Sports Partnership to implement the new Get Ireland Walking Active Community Walking Programme, which is an initiative of Irish Sports Council. This free programme is suitable for people who would like to get active through walking. Come along to Attymass Community Centre on Monday, April 30, at 7.30 pm to find out more.

The Women's Shed meets on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday every week from 2pm until 4pm in the Le Cheile Family Resource Centre, Tucker St, Castlebar

Foróige Castlebar

Foróige Castlebar is looking for volunteers to give an hour or two each month. Thr group is looking for adults who could give just a few hours a month to work with young people aged 10 to 17 years. Parent & Toddler Group & Baby Massage

Castlebar Parent & Toddler Group meets every Monday at 10am at the Le Cheile Family Resource centre on Tucker Street.

Castlebar Active Retirement

The Castlebar Active Retirement group meets on Wednesday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm in the Social Services Centre. The committee has arranged a number of events taking place in the coming weeks including bowling, wellness talks and excursions. New members are always welcome.

Mayo Day 2018

This year's Mayo Day takes place on Saturday, May 5. 

This year the team behind Mayo Day at Mayo County Council are inviting you to get involved and put your own stamp on Mayo Day by ‘Taking on the Mayo Spirit’. How you participate is up to you, you could organise an event, where your group, committee, society, school, business, family or friends come together to do what you love to do in the name of Mayo. Mayo Day activities can take place not just on Mayo Day alone, but over the long weekend ,from Thursday, May 3, until Monday, May 7.

Western Care Association

The Western Care Association is looking for groups or individuals to take part in the West of Ireland Women’s Mini Marathon in Castlebar on Sunday, May 6. Bealtaine Event

An open crafting session with the Connacht Textile Crafters takes place in the National Museum of Country Life, Turlough, on Saturday, May 26. You can join the crafters for an open crafting session creating textile flowers. This is a free, drop-in activity and no booking is required.

Killeen NS Tractor Run

A tractor run in memory of Declan Davitt and Martin Needham takes place in Killeen, Louisburgh, on Sunday, May 27th at 1pm. All money raised on the day will go towards the Killeen National School Sunbeams Extension Fund. There will be a raflle on the day and a Family Fun Day from 2pm at Killeen National School. Tractor entry is €50 or €80 for two tractors.
